Our Mission

We are Aptitud

As a Community School, we focus on the "whole child," celebrating the strengths of students and families as key partners in our success. We prioritize early literacy development for grades K-3. Our on-site Wellness Center fosters a supportive environment where all students are valued and can thrive academically, emotionally, and mentally. Initiatives such as social-emotional learning, counseling, and wellness campaigns help ensure every student feels safe, supported, and ready to succeed.

SIPPS Reading Foundations

Systematic Instruction in Phoneme Awareness, Phonics, and Sight Words

Adopted by Aptitud in 2021, SIPPS is a structured literacy program that supports K-3 readers and enhances reading skills for students in grades 4-12. It is taught in small groups based on students' needs, with mastery tests guiding instruction.

Wellness Center

Committed to Student Wellness

In the foreground, comfortable blue chairs and a green rug create a cozy seating area, while the background reveals a classroom with tables, chairs, plants, and a whiteboard.

We offer a safe, supportive space on campus where students can recharge, talk to a trusted adult, and access mental health and wellness resources.

Student Recognitions

Celebrating Students

A group of children and adults pose for a photo holding certificates in front of a green curtain.

We celebrate our students all year long for their achievements in academics, attendance, and more. Each month, we also honor one student with the Gator Pride Award for exemplifying our core values like respect, perseverance, and kindness.

Student & Parent Engagement

Engaging families is central for education.

A group of eight people stand in front of a balloon arch with gold stars, with a building's exterior in the background.

We believe learning is strongest when students and families are connected and engaged. Programs like Little Heroes, Wellness Warriors, BAWSI, Los Dichos, Drama, and Band - along with Spirit Days and yearly events help us get there.
