Meet the Assistant Principal (El Subdirector)
Hello students, staff and families of the Aptitud Community Academy at Goss,
I am your incoming fall 2020 Assistant Principal, Mr. Manluco transferring over from Ocala. Prior to serving as the Ocala AP, I worked for two years on instructional support working under the Alum Rock Instructional Services division. I am extremely excited about beginning a new year with you all and will do my best to make sure that your needs and priorities come first. It is my intent to commit to an Aptitud plan that addresses the needs of all Aptitud community members, focuses on quality distance learning practices, and a ensures a commitment to community safety.
This year will be my 17th year serving in public education, and 14th year as a certificated K-12 educator. I have had had cross-sector experience ranging from 6th grade to 12th grade and adult school, teaching graduate university courses, and consulting high tech fortune 500 companies on their own instructional design and training materials. Additionally, I have a proud history of coaching wrestling full time for Mathson MS, Piedmont MS, and Independence HS.
Last year, while I was the AP at Ocala, I supported many programs including AVID (college prep elective), MESA (Math Engineering and Science Achievement), year-round athletics, PBL (Project Based Learning), the STEAM elective, and year 3 PBIS (Positive Behavior Supports and Intervention) among many other roles. It is my hope to bring this experience to collaborate and engage with your principal Ms. Jensen, all staff and community to continue the excellence at Aptitud!
I hope to meet every single one of you this year and look forward to the work we will do.
